BHB continue to successfully work with JCB on a number of prestigious developments over varying sectors that include Industrial, Commercial and Leisure projects.
JCB Heavy Products and World Parts Centre occupy Waterloo Park, which is in close proximity to JCB’s Flagship World Headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire. BHB were lead consultants for recent developments on the site, providing services from initial feasibility and concept designs, through to completion on site.
JCB World Parts Centre:
At the heart of the JCB support network, the World Parts Centre is a £20 million state of the art facility that provides supplies to a multitude of companies across the globe. Having originally designed the industrial factory in 1998/99, BHB have since designed and overseen construction of a substantial extension to the World Parts Centre that was completed in 2007/08.
JCB Heavy Products:
Completed in 2008 and with a project value of £25 million, JCB Heavy Product is a purpose based state of the art factory that was designed to replace the existing factory located on a land-locked site in the centre of Uttoxeter. BHB undertook a lead consultant role for the development and provided services from extensive feasibility appraisals right through to completion on site. The new facility has enabled JCB to remain at the forefront of heavy machinery production, both at home and across the world.
Brownhill Hayward Brown were commissioned to design and coordinate the construction of the new state of the art engine testing facilities for JCB Power Systems, Derbyshire. A challenging project that required smooth interfaces between the pure construction elements and the highly specialised mechanical & electrical systems required was successfully completed in 2012 for a project value of circa £1.2 million.
The new engine test facility at JCB Power Systems is a purpose built Head Quarters that oversees the development of the next generation of cleaner, more powerful, and more economical engines. BHB provided design, detailing and onsite co-ordination services to ensure that the facility was successfully built to the high standards expected.
BHB were commissioned to design, co-ordinate and oversee the construction of a purpose built Head Quarters for JCB Aviation. Spacial requirements included hanger space for a private jet and two helicopters, office space (inclusive of welfare facilities) and extensive workshops for aircraft maintenance.
Successfully completed in 2007 for a project cost of £1.5 million.
